the spec v one will fit. it is a helical one (no maintenance,no special oils).

price is bout right for what it comes with, I paid 3300 for the front clip in December for my 20V

I heard from a little birdy that 60% of the 20v's came lsd.If ya dont believe why does the spec lsd drop right. Its a factory option.

Out of curiosity, why were people swapping over the bell housings on the spec v tran if the 20v is "basically" the same trans?

The spec v is a 2.5 motor and the 20v is of coarse from a 2.0. So the bell housings had to be transferred to the spec v for it to work on our 2.0 motors

I understand that part. But what I mean is why bother using the 2.5 trans if it is easier to just use the 20v trans with the spec v lsd?
