Piston scuff and cracked Darton sleeve
Hey guys,

What's can possibly cause this?

Looks like piston scuff and the sleeve is cracked towards the bottom of the sleeve. Around 20mm long.

New block, new darton sleeves, new cp pistons and rings, professional installation. I'm quitting the big bores now. Fuckit, they make me wanna quit sr20s all together.

I really hope he didn't try and use the oem clips. And what size bore is that, maybe you have enough material to bore and fit larger pistons.. salvage the block..

Doubt it's the wrist pin guys. Cp pistons with cp wrist pinc clips which are damn hard. Will only know for sure once it's apart. Looks to me like a detonation possibly? 13.5 cr on our shitty 95 Ron fuel even with a conservative tune, you just can't be sure it's not detonating.

And that was a 92mm bore so now it's just an expensive coffee table.
