Thread: SR20VE Main Caps Question

If I have a VE bare short block (bare as in no oil pump, no pistons, no rods, no crank, no main caps), can I use the main caps from another sr20 (probably from another VE or a RR) on the bare short block? Or do I have to get the main caps that came originally with the block?

You have to get the original caps and use them in the correct location and order... but if you can locate another set of caps you can get away with having the mains line bored to get everything all straight and true again..

I'd say just get a hold of another block...
