Yes but putting one after the header outlet with the exhaust all the way to the back with muffler will it gain hp

If your asking if a reverse cone at the end of your full exhaust will gain hp, no.

Also the reverse cone will loose its effect if its routed back into a full exhaust.

Megaphones are great, but reverse cones are very finicky and tricky to size perfectly right in the first place.

I think he is talking about putting it after the header but still running a full exhaust after it.

Are we talking a full custom race header or a production header and adding a reverse megaohone to it?

Yeah, running full exhaust after the reverse cone will inhibit its ability to help at all.. but if you put a vband or flange at the end of the reverse cone then you can use it on the dyno / track and still able to run your exhaust

VE Header test done at last! - SR20 Forum

i think the short answer is yes.

somewhere in here there is a highly technical article covering 2 effects caused by the megaphone/reverse cone ( maybe a ben fenner one ) but i can't find it now. it explains it in ''rocket scientist" terms
