picked up a vvl and have questions
Hey guy's I just bought a vvl that needs a head gasket.
I have a few questions about it.
It's missing the distributor. Can I use a sr20de distributor on it?
If not, how much to they cost?
What parts would I need to get this thing installed and runnning in my b13.
What harness is needed? ecu?
How strong are the vvl rods n pistons compaired to a det?
Thank for the help!!!

Search & read. Everything is on forum. Good start thread is here.

You can use DE distributor and ECU. You would need at least chipped stock ECU and VVL switch device or best option NismoTronic ECU tuning package.

You can use the DE dist. just have to cut off the bottom leg and will only be using the top screw to hold down the dist. Also youll need to find a 3/4 to 5/8 hose adapter in for your coolant hose the goes from firewall to TB well not to the TB but right in that area. One of the water hose from the fire wall get cut off and goes straight to the water port under the manifold you wont miss it. For ECU you can use stock DE ecu and bump up the dist. timing... sumone have say it dont run as good but for sum it work ok for daily just dont get on it. also to be on the safe side running on the DE ecu just swap the VE injector for the DE injector and run a DE maf.

Here all you need to know
