obd2 calum realtime ecu to run sr20ve in obd b13
I have searched a little and it seems popular to run obd1 ecus in obd2 cars, in fact several forum members even make jumper harnesses to make this easier. My question is will it work the other way. Can I run an OBD2 ecu in my b13. I already have a calum realtime from an OBD2 p10, and I would like to use it in my b13 SE-R when I swap in a VE motor later this month.

What are the negatives to this idea? Does anyone make a jumper harness for this?

Thanks in advance....

I had that in mind as well since I'm doing the same swap but unfortunately from what I was told was to make it easier you can run b13 obd2 ecu harness with your RT obd2 ecu.

Wouldn't I need a obd2 distributor and a harness then? I was hoping for a jumper harness. I suppose I could make my own if someone knows where to get a female OBD1 ECU plug.

Yes you would but its totally up to you. I wish they made a step up harness plug. I might have to get rid of my calum obd2 rt and go with nismotronic.

Go with the Nismotronic, more tuning options. You will get a pretty penny for you OBDII calum ECU.

That is probably the best option, I can do it correctly and it will cost me $200 for the basic chiped OBD1 ECU. What do you think a calum OBD2 realtime is worth?
