Nico it does. I ran about 3 months with the 4G ECU until it made a shortcut in the fans circuit xD
It's a crappy ECU, nothing goes where its ment to be with MT. It's way better to use the 4H ECU from SR16.

So you are proposing to use a sr16ve ecu to run a 2.0L motor and dont expect it to lean out?

I had a vzr which as you know came with sr16ve motor. Engine blew and I went sr20ve. I used the sr16ve ecu along with a Greddy emanage to tune it until I got a chipped ecu. Before tune, my tuner told me to go WOT in 3rd on the sr16ve ecu only. No tune. AFR were in the region on of 16:1

Damn, here in Chile a few used the 4H ECU, no issues, but with SAFC to give more fuel...that's the detail i missed lol
I also ran the CC oem SR20DE ecu with the oem maf and SAFC with decent results, just I gave between 15-20 minus percent in the SAFC at wot (330cc injectors)
Also here is used a normal b13 ecu with SAFC to tune some fuel, and take advantage of the 7500 rev limit instead the 7200 of the CC oem ECU....the freak part is that my ecu never hit the rev at 7200, it was always at 6950-6980

Well that makes better sense now...

But may as well chip and tune rather than having to invest in piggyback device to support the VE ecu

In my case I'm just buying some time until I save for the RT package, so I'm not throwing any piggybacks at it. Runs fine for now.
