You can keep the iacv and still mod the intake manifold in this manner. I have almost the same setup on my ve with iacv. Deleting the iacv is not hard I was able to remove mine on a jwt ecu and the car run perfect even better then with the iacv. Strong work Dr. G Im waiting to see what header your running and what Dyno #s end up being.

I had a shop do the work for me. I can't weld. They charged about $200 for the fabrication work. I just did the porting. With shipping etc I don't think it would be worth your while. A local shop in the states should be able to do it for you easily and cheaper maybe?

Thanks man, just waiting on some tubing and bends now for the header then I'm off to the fabricator. Will be a tri-y setup most likely.

Think those were fabricated by one of derms contacts. I'll be going back to stock soon.

These may not be the most optimal solutions, but two simple ways are to adjust the stopper bolt on the throttle body so it stays slightly open at idle, or drill a hole in the throttle plate.

I would prefer the bolt than the hole option. The bplt would be easier to adjust and correct than a hole...

I adjust the stopper bolt on mine, use locktite screw to keep it in place.

Also for OP, what type of connection from the intake piping to the TB is that? Custom? Looks like an flexible/adjustable stock one from another type of motor

I'm doing something similar except cutting the plenum off the runners, cut the "hat" off to port the runners too. I can post some pics if I interested.
