The higher curve doesn't have a dip, just the lower untuned curve. Maybe your just getting used to the power and its feeling slower?

UPDATE:
So after about a month of running, including testing it at the local drag strip, i think i have concluded that my car IS slower after the dyno tune/cam install. As a refresher, my dyno on a stock non-tuned Ve was 172 whp and 150tq on a Dyno jet. My 1/8 mile time was 9.4 @ 75.5mph .
After my N1 cam install, i still have the clicking noise from the cams..im suspecting one of the shims were installed on the wrong spot hence the annoying clicking noise at idle and rev. I also got it tuned and on the DYNO PACK, got 205 whp at 160tq. The car is very drive-able..like it was when it was stock but felt slower. 1/8 time was 9.8 @ 73 mph.
Obviously its either the Tune, the Cam install, or Both..but how would one find out? Does anyone have a bin they dont mind sharing so i can compare? I am suspecting my Timing might be too low. Is it also possible the cam gear could be a tooth off? Would the shims/cams making that noise REALLY rob me of power?

It's starting to frustrate me because these mods are MININAL..i mean..no motor work, no nos, no boost..yet my car feels slower. Shouldn't just installing the cams alone make me faster overall? I don't really know what to do at this point..i would really like to get my car where it is supposed to be. Im hoping some of the experts can shed some light.

Thanx in advanced guys.

hmm that's an odd issue, interested to hear the verdict.

Or just get velocity stack and JWT replacement filter from Greg @ Gspec. Fits better as its a little bit shorter.

Honestly I think part of your problem is your rev limit. There is no reason to have it so low especially with s&r's. With the N1 cams, you should be seeing full power and a strong powerband til at least 8500 or so, and probably higher.

You feel that the car is slower after the cam install/tune. You know that these cams come alive at the higher rpm's right? You're not on stock VE cams anymore. You also upgraded the valvetrain, so rev that bitch out. Guarantee you feel that power increase from 6K onward. Especially after the tune. You haven't even unleashed the fury with this engine yet.

Just saying.

^ Don't listen to him. N1 cams with stock intake manifold and ssautochrome type header will not going to give " full power and a strong powerband til at least 8500 or so, and probably higher", lol.

Sound like a recipe for an early death. The head is making weird noises no need to rev it higher. Track down the noise and fix it first.

Check the clearances, probably will find the noise there. Sounds like some shims may have been misplaced for some reason. Take it back to the first dyno you took it to also if you want to have a decent gauge as to before or after. I have never been to churchs dyno but it is common knowledge that it is a very generous same as evans iirc.
