Thread: genuine or aftermarket afm?

hi guys,

recently i purchased a sr20ve, however the afm is stuffed (cracked) so i'm up for a new one. the part number is 22680-5j000.

so,there's like one for sale in all of aus, and after a quick search on ebay usa etc, i see a few genuine used, and a few new aftermarket ones.

i have two questions.

is a used genuine one better than a new aftermarket one?

does it matter any if the same part number is advertised in a different application (different model).maybe wiring?

Seems like Nissan went pretty generic with that MAF. A used one would be fine if there's no physical damage to inside of the MAF

Used OEM is better then an aftermarket one hands down. Never buy aftermarket vital electric parts.

I would check on the classified area on this forum there have been a few that i seen being sold. Buy a oem maf
