I am saddened that this happened. That is a rough thing for you and your car.

This is a lesson in the unfortunate end result. Please take from it all you can. You did contribute, actively, to blowing the head gasket on your killer Marsh Tuned car.

Glad to see the initial plans are to upgrade lots of things while you are doing it. I hope all goes well.

Storm if your going to port the head and not use a flow bench then don't bother. The valve job would be better than a unknown port job. I guess your car will be back on the road around summer time then.

You have been a help and a friend to me on here.. but remember, this car is my toy. I am fortunate enough in my life that I can afford it to be a toy. I don't understand what the big deal is. The car had been giving me overheating problems randomly for 6 months, at the most random times. And thats why I originally made this thread with a video of the coolant overflow bottle shaking like a junkie. Then it would run fine. People did say it could be the head gasket. 100% true. I was aware of that. But as we know its best to start simple. Let the car idle for 20 minutes and found out the coolant fan wasn't coming on, and then inquired why I only had 1 fan in the first place (!!!!) went to the junkyard with SE-Rmonkey and got 2 new fans and then wired them directly to a switch because I didn't want to mess with Marsh's ECU. Then I flushed the coolant system twice per FSM. Don't understand how that's a lesson, its not like I purposely wanted to have to put in a new gasket. I drove the car every 2 weeks maybe. It has classic car plates. I generally babied the car since I bought it a year ago. I dunno.

There more to it than that, I just haven't gotten everything all figured out yet.

edit: he just told me he has a Flow Dynamics flow bench.

So he has a flow bench, and by "he" I mean the guy who will be working with me and my car. I have agreed to cover all expenses (new head studs, new head gasket, new oil, new oil filter, and general shop costs) and then we're getting to work, since it's his place.

P.S. oil on the dipstick looks like mud. So coolant def in the oil

I wouldn't get silicone ...porous and are prone to leaking...stick with oem.

Jordan; I think Kyle's point is that ignoring the problem just cost you a head gasket. We've all been reading the thread and everyone was thinking (some were saying) "Don't drive the car anymore until you fix it" for several months. Its your toy to throw money at but definitely listen to heads that know about head porting etc.
