Thread: VE cam gear comparison

Are VE cam gears the same as regular DE cam gears and cam Tomei adjustables work on it?

The SR20DE, SR20DET, SR20VE, SR16VE and SR16VE N1 all have the same cam gear. So JWT, Tomei and HKS cam gears will work and or interchange.

The SR20VE 20V and SR20VET have a diffrent cam gear that will not interchange with the other motors. Now if you want to get the older style cam gear setup to fit you will have to change all of the things listed below

1. Crank gear
2. Both cam gears
3. Old stlye chain
4. Old style chain guides
