Ok. I didn't see them listed. I guess that is low.

So I had the B14 DE on the dyno

Ready for this? I need you all to sit down first. With intake, header, exhaust, Gspec pulley, JWT ECU, it made a whopping 138whp and 120tq.

I know, keep breathing, in and out, in and out, and you will start to come back to reality. Wow, what an engine the SR20DE is when it's NA. I need a turbo or to just sell it and focus on my VE (which is also NA, which made 206hp and 148tq - that one is no joke

lol....

That DE has serious issues if its only making that! Timing chain off maybe? Something is way off!

Was that after tuning?

Yup, definately something wrong. Its should easily make at least 160whp.

I'm not sure, it doesn't "feel" like anything is off. It feels fine to me. One of my spark plug wires went bad like the next day and the car ran like crap and I put new ones in and it seems better, but IDK.

If you have the s3/s4 program on that JWT ecu, then it might want 25deg of base timing. Not the normal 15deg. Check the ecu inside and out. Might even be on the chip.

So was this after tuning?

So wait, you're saying I should set the timing at 25 degrees BTDC? Or am I missing something.

Here's the thing, I have the JWT ECU with the S3/S4 cam program (stamped on it) but I have Tomei cams in the car. To date, no one has been able to give me an answer if that is good or bad, or won't matter, except of course, when I called JWT and asked, they tried to sell me the S4 cams, lol.

My timing is set at 19 degrees. I went toe to toe with my friends 96 SE-R, he had the same exact mods, except S4 cams, and we were neck and neck. Which perplexes me why my car had such low numbers. I once had a 150whp 98 Sentra SE, years ago, and it feels about the same. But obviously the dyno numbers are saying otherwise.

Then the day after the dyno, the car ran like crap and I pulled the ECU code, and it came up with cylinder misfire code. I replaced the spark plug wires and everything was fine. I remember I thought perhaps one was just loose, so with the car running like crap, I pushed on the wires at the distributor, and I got a mild electrical shock. Last time I try that.

Anyways, I don't know what to do. The car has the OBX header with the 2" downpipe but then has a 2.5" cat back exhaust to a dynomax muffler with a baffle broken inside of it (lol). The Tomei cams were installed properly, I didn't skip any teeth or anything, in fact, I spent about 4 hours double checking everything because I am OCD about that shit.

The real shame is, this car handles REALLY well. With sticky tires, 22 adjustable Tein coilovers, camberplates, sway and strut bars, poly mounts and bushings, it would kick the Sentra VE's ass in handling (although I think that's cause the Sentra VE tires suck)

EDIT: I also wanted to add, that the highest HP run came during the 4th and final dyno run. The first 2 runs were so low I don't even want to mention, but each run the HP #'s went up 5-6hp or so. I wonder if I did a 5th run if it would have been 143hp ish. Or if it was just a coincidence.

Guys, I made a new thread in a more appropriate section regarding this topic, in the all motor section, thread is here if you are interested.
