Maybe Im a cheat, but since I always do it like this, numbers are comparable between runs...

Doesnt he say he has a 4.44fd does that matter if he in 4th cause i think 3rd be a little too short lolz

Yeah i have the 4.44. I told the dyno guy this and he said ok we'll do it in 4th gear.

It would be even worse in 3rd with the 4.4 FD, 4th for sure.

3rd gear for NA.

No need to strain the car in 4th. With the correct inertia/ramp timing on dyno, you will get the same results +/- 1 to 3hp.

Even with a Nismo N1 gear box (shortest gearing ever) 3rd is fine.

I was going to say the exact same thing.

There is no need to do an all motor vehicle that is only making in the low 200whp in 4th gear!

It isn't worth the extra wear and tear on things, including the dyno itself (wheel/drum speed).

Okay, wow, some conflicting info here. I appreciate the input. Maybe I'll try both gears? I have free run of the dyno for an entire hour.

Honestly, after the underdrive crank and waterpump pulleys were put in, it honestly feels faster in the upper RPM range (I'm talking like 6400RPM+)

Also, I have VVL activating at 5200rpms via MSD window switch. I can change that with a push of a button, higher or lower.

I've always been told to dyno in the closest gear to 1:1...

Well I get 1 full hour. I plan on first doing a run in 3rd and 4th gear. Then pulling the cold air intake and swapping it for the original warm air setup like a few people suggested (although I have my doubts, but who knows) and doing another run. Then maybe a run without an air filter at all. Then I'd like to bump the timing just a tad.

I have another question, is it "cheating" if I put in a can of octane booster?

Nope not cheating because you'll loose power....

That is unless the current tune is knocking or unless you tune for the added octane and increase timing ...
