Ive had it confirmed that the one i have is the updated version, still seems incredibly thin though, certainly dont feel comfortable running it.







food for thought, shame as its the perfect weight.

They weren't clear, but I got the feeling you are supposed to measure the thickness/depth of the ring gear. I assumed that's where they added material? By making the ring gear taller/thicker when viewed from the side resting flat on a table for example).
It looks like where an accountant would add material, not an engineer. If you catch my drift.

Yeah I know what you mean, that thin section above the ruler where the tooth comes right down is just asking to crack where the cutter has gone that little bit too far.

I sent mine back, I wasn't happy to use it.

I've got one being made currently, should be 3kg/6.6lbs once its completed.

I used one of those to 9000 many times and didnt fail. For about three years, changed it with the motor.
