Thread: Cel light

sometimes when im driving or even first start the car the check engine light comes on and idles at 2500-3000 idk wat could be causeing this has new maf new tps new coolant temp sensor and knock sensor this is in a b13 with sr20ve swap chipped by jk tuning

might be bad chips.. i got sick of my basic board real fast.. my wife kept telling me her car would have these issues and when i'd go take a look it would be fine, then one day i caught the sucker doing it an nothin i did made a difference. so instead of dealing with chips i just picked up a second nistune lol.

oh another thing, it wouldn't throw any codes and i could not access the ecu with consult while the problem was happening.

if you've tried the maf and ECT sensor theres not much left that can cause these issues.

When you went to nistune it fixxed it? My friend has the exact same set up chips and all and his is fine i was hoping it wasnt computer, but thank you for the input im gonna try his ecu if he lets me i have an idle air control valve on its way. hopfully that fixxes it. mine has also locked me out which has me worried now

well im not saying the board is bad, im saying the chips go bad.

i guess i will call john at jk tomorrow and see wat he says

if u have some sort of consult try connecting while its doing it an see if it lets you connect. but ya thats also a good idea.

Could it be because its an auto g20 ecu i thought when its re chipped everything was reset

i do not believe that matters.
