Thread: Message from Ben @ JWT regarding SR20VE cams

I've been emailing with Ben Pila recently inquiring about the status of the JWT SR20VE cams. Here's his response for those interested:

Hi Jordan,
We have some test cars with some prototype SR20VE cams already. We also have our cam blanks (billets) ready. We are still working on testing to finalize the profiles. It is uncertain exactly when we will have production cams ready to sell. I can save your information and advise you when we get close to having cams available. Provide me the E-mail address you want to use and telephone contact number and I can advise you any news as it comes. That also applies to anyone else interested that you know of.

Good question, you should ask him. the more of us that inquire about these cams the more likely they will get them out sooner. Demand = production.

I'm really really interested to see their cams vs the N1's in an all motor VE.

Hi Jordan
The goal is to make a cam profile that will make more power than the N1 cam for the SR20VE in a normally aspirated application. We will likely entertain making a turbo specific profile in the future as well since there are many that run the VE heads on turbo SR20s. I added you to my SR20VE camshaft waiting list data base. I am adding anyone else that E-mails me (I have gotten a few now) to that list as well and will advise when any new information is available on these cams.

Their VE cams have been 'just about ready' for years.

Troof!.... I think they've copy & paste that message for about 6-7 years now.

VE's will be extinct by the time they release a set.
