This is why they make drag radials and slicks.

Also driver mod plays a big roll. I can make first gear useless in a bone stock DE.

First gear in my 2400lb b13 is worthless, with the 2800lb p10 it was no traction from a dig or any roll under 25mph even with the tire pressures low at 22psi on 205/50/15 dunlop direzza. I have to use my 215/60/14 bfg drags to enjoy first gear. A ve should rip the tires loose in first with ease. Even a cammed de will rip first. Just learn to feather the go pedal and youll do fine.

Simply put, if you guys are spinning tires, you do not have enough tire on the car. Get more tire or do other things to improve tire contact patch and stop wasting rubber and put it to more use.

It's all in the way you control the gas and clutch, you have to find your cars launching sweetspot. I think the problem is when your almost red lining and then release the clutch the motor is in vvl mode and the tires spin like crazy which is good for burnouts but not for launching. I usually launch between 4.5-5k just right before the vvl kicks in. My b14 has a light flywheel and a full pulley set(no A/C) so it accelerates pretty fast. Here's a recent vid of me launching against a b20 integra.

If you have no traction in a FWD NA VE you need driving lessons, Use less throttle and control your traction using your clutch. You cant expect to dump 8k+ revs through your street rubber and not lose traction.
