Thread: vet pencil coils that are stock det ecu compatible?

Don't like the wire look, plus I can get all four cbr/gsxr coils for like $30 with a subharness.
Thanks on the vet coil offer I already have some for my other vet engine and I don't feel like swapping covers. I found an aem cdi for 2 bills so pretty sure I'm gonna get it.

Depending on what your power goals are you dont need a cdi box and pencil coils. The k20 smart coils have been ran to 900+whp which are the same denso smart coils as the vet just different mounting tabs and lengths but the coil itself is I believe identical.

Id say just get yourself another set of vet coils and ditch the ignitor and run the triggers from the ignitor to their respective coils. FWI, the dwell setting in the ecu for the rwd det coils is the same as the p12 so there are no worries there whether its running most efficiently.

Im gonna to diy a 450V supply module with multiple spark capability to supply juice for a set of suzuki pencil coil , will upload to a new thread when i successfully make them ... not sure the pencil can gain any power or not.

I don't want to source another p12/t30 valve cover is the issue. Plus then forking out another $200 for coils. If the k20's will fit in the p11 valley and seal well then cool, I didn't remember seein them in the cop thread though, been a sec since I looked at it though. A brand new aem cdi for $200 is a good deal though so it just makes sense

I have a rough looking (paint pealing off) P12 cover spare if your interested. Shipping might be a bit tho

How much we talkin, just grabbed a k20 coil and it didn't work on the p11 cover. Like I said my other alternative is p11 cover/ bike coils with cdi so I'll figure out the cost benefit but most likely its not worth it to swap covers. The only way I'd switch is if someone bought the p11 cover and dizzy
