No offense man, but the CT guys are not calling out the PR guys so why are you calling out the CT guys in the PR guys' thread? Seems that you are just asking for a shit-show to ensue!

Respect offered some constructive criticism and none of it is inacurate as far as I can tell. If the PR guys don't need the help then they won't take it. It's up to them, really. What he said about cutting weight is the truth. At some point in time you can no longer cut weight and to improve times, you need to add power or get your power to the ground more effectively. Clearly, the PR know this and know exactly what they are doing. They are putting up some great numbers and on a consistent basis, with more to come!!

The PR guys and the CT are both doing BIG things. Props to all players in the game. No need to divide camps!

ALL of us on this forum hope that everyone continues to post up their experiences with pushing the VE platform.

Agree with some of your statement.... but, Respect does come across like they want the PR guys to replicate the CT setups... Setups that have proven to be great on the dyno, but to date not AS good on the track. Expensive headers, ITB's, AEMs have been some of his suggestions... not saying the suggestions wont make power, but come on... PR has proven that other upgrades be done, they have made close to 300whp also.

So all in all, I say make the PR guys do their own methods, and let us document what DOES work, and let the CT guys do their thing and let us see what else does work, and finally have Derm and Cory do their things...

But dont come across like theres only one path to 9's

Well, I don't want anyone to think I am speaking for Respect or for the CT guys but all I see is confidence in eachother's camps and the ability to make big things happen. As far as the suggestions that were made, I don't think that custom spec'd (to your application) headers OR ITB's would be a downgrade under any circumstance. Money is the draw-back here and the PR guys have acknowledged that. At the end of the day, both camps will work with what they can afford or manage with the time that they have. You're rght, PR guys have put up big numbers with their set-ups and nobody is taking away from that.

There is definitely more then one way to skin a cat! Different camps will try different things and the 1/4 mile numbers will keep dropping as long as everybody keeps pushing....and sharing their results!

At then end of the day it's all power:weight and how well you can get it to the ground under the conditions that are put in front of you.

I look forward to all the new developments that will come out this year...all around!

Im in no way in any competion with anyone.

I do it because I want to, because 2-3 years ago people said it couldnt be done.

With all the harsh weather and busy schedule I will be happy to get one or 2 tracks days in. Where we live
The streets end up being our test grounds..

I got 1 pass with my 2.4 all last year at 1,300 ft above sea level at 280whp and trapped 118 doing 11.6 weighing over 2100lbs.

Bes went 11.7 @ 260whp at a lower elevation, so you do the math.

As I said before people of different locations are limited by different factors. Stop comparing apples to oranges

As for the 10 sec pasd remark, it will come. I cant get more than 2 passes under 11.4 without getting kicked off the track for no cage.

Our tech inspection requires alot which the cars down there do not have to worry about.

350whp and 2200lbs is our goal for 10's while being competitive for class runs.

Good luck to the PR boys for whatever their goals are. Keep the comparing and trash talk out of these threads.

To be honest we will all benefit the most by continually trying different things. If we all replicated the first set up that did well, we'd be stuck in the same box. Be glad everyone is taking their own approach and showing there is more then one way to skin a cat. Like mentioned earlier we all have our battles, I'm at 1500ft and it doesn't help. Others have crazy heat and humidity. We're all dealing with something.

my toughts exactly. every one runs their mouth about better parts and more horsepower but aint no one here in the states or at least on the forum accomplishing the 1/4 mile times and 60ft that the puerto rico guys are doing. keep up the good work guys dont let any of the negativity stop you guys from setting records

As already mentioned... Can't run a car setup like that in the US.

Stop the trash talk. That goes for everybody.

We are on the same team.

i completely agree with you.i noticed all that. no offense ct guys but you guys are giving suggestions on how to improve and you guys havent even acomplished what the puerto rico guys have. and dont get me wrong i do see that you guys did give some costructive criticism on how to improve.

I'm going to assume you didn't see my post even though it notifies you that I posted...

Last warning. Stop trash talking apples vs oranges. If the camps work together... The cars in both camps will go faster. The CT guys can't cut as much as the PR guys to get the ETs with lower WHP.
