Thread: N1 pistons shaved 1mm CR on SR20VE

Anybody already have measure N1 pistons but shaved 1mm of the top(dome), regular N1 will give 12.4-12.6 on SR20VE, but if you shave 1mm of the top?

According with the information if you shave 1mm of the top(dome) from regular SR16 pistons, you will down 1 point the CR, but the dome from N1's is lower than SR16 so if you shave 1mm of the top on N1's you will remove more material than regular SR16 pistons, so I dont think you lower 1 point on N1's shaved

thought the n1 piston was 12.7 with 2.0L crank

and 0.5 cr point lower per 1mm

so 1mm off a n1 piston would be 12.2:1 with 2.0L crank

never done it, but that what i understood from information here and otherwise
