You would need to use your de pans. I dont think the VE upper pan will clear the crank girdle.

You would use the ve pump, ve pickup, de pans. This is what ive always done and zero issues and works perfectly. You will have to trim the ve pickup tube brace to clear the main bolt right next to it or you can use the GTI-R pickup tube and that will clear with no issues.

Ive always used the VE one again, a little trimming, no big deal.

The VE pickup tube clears the de pans just fine. Again no problems

Yup VE upper pan won't clear the Girdle on a DE. Can be made to clear by removing some of the oil channeling baffles in the VE upper pan, but easiest option is to just run the DE upper pan.

Other option is to remove the girdle.

Upper and Lower oil pans must be a match though. So VE with VE or DE with DE. Exception is RR DE and VE which is the same lower pan.

I actually have a DE block on my car and I'm thinking about adding the oil squirters but I don't even know how many of the I would need (I assume one per piston) or where do I need to tap to install them.

Does anybody know??

1 per cylinder. there's a boss for them that you drill and tap.

There are no bosses...u have to have them machined down and then drilled and tapped...I had mine done by my machinist....it also helped that I had a det block that was shot for him to reference....hope that helps

Thanks for the replies guys, not sure what a boss is...

So how does a squirt work? Is there any guide on how to install them (placement, how to make them squirt to the right place, etc)?
