misfiring?
Hey guys im having a little problem,My engine is misfiring i did the balance test and cylinder #1 is the culprit.,Also i dont know if it relates to the misfiring problem wich probaly does but i hear a putter sound when im accelerating a bit on first, but it is more noticeable when i hit the highway and only on 4th and 5th.It sounds like when your injector goes out.so far i checked the injector i switched #4 with #1 nothing,i checked fuel pressure it was good,i did a compression test on cylinder#1 180psi,cap and rotor look good im gonna try my buddies maf later on see if that helps, sparkplugs are new.Any help is appreciated. If it helps i just got a valve job done on the head not too long ago.

I'm having a misfire problem as well

Try changing the spark plug wires, maybe the MAF too

check my thread too, it might help you too

So i tried using another maf but no luck. Also i was gonna change the dizzy but my buddies dizzy still had the extra ear on it and he didn't have anything to cut it off so we just switched the internals same thing right? So that didn't make a difference. So next i'm going to my pops shop see if i can hook up the scanner and see if the ecu can help me anything. It really annoys me when i hop on the highway and it's weird because it only does it on 4th and 5th so my guess is that at that certain speed something begins to give.Maybe the injectors begin to act up at that speed, someone told me that these injectors tend to burn out alot?If i come up with something i will post.
