Yea, that's one of the things that I'd be concerned about. All that heat basically going to the same device (hot oil and water to the radiator). But the water generally stays around under 200*F on the road -- I have not really watched water temperature on the track. But I recall reading threads about SR20s overheating on the track. Oil must have a higher heat capacity than water, but then there is less oil than coolant.
I wonder how auto tranny fluid temperatures run compared to crankcase oil. Is the cooling capacity of the radiator able to do the job?
Maybe I just need to try it out. Or maybe I should just do it right the first time.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
