by mild i meant i only replaced the things that needed to be like, spark plugs, wires, oil, cap/rotor, things of that nature. i did not spend on getting a header, ecu, clutch etc. that's how i was able to keep my swap to a mere 1700 bucks
paid 800 for the vvl
the rest of the money went to odds and ends to get the engine running.
wire tires
wire looms
electrical tape
a'pexi rsm
water temp gauge autometer
vvl cap and rotor
3 oil changes in one week
spark plugs
spark plug wires
had to buy both cv shafts as they were in bad shape
all mounts are new - ploy
grease cleaner
paint - rattle can
heater hose
local library has all the Chilton's so i made copies of all the wiring for free.
not included in the 1700 was also
all new brakes
all new struts
new ball joints
new swag bar bushings
new tires
