Yeah id prob only go to 9k maybe 9.5. I'm going to build everything to as if i was doing 10k but then back off a bit.

Anyone got any opinions on knife edging a crank?

Yeah, had I had an ATI damper it might have saved the damage and not spun the bearing but who knows. All i know is im not taking a chance on it again even though I wont be spinning the motor past 9600 or so again. But better safe than sorry.

All my dyno pulls were between 9600 and 9800 rpm and I think a couple to 9900. Again power was still flat at the top holding peak hp so there was really no reason power wise to not rev higher and extend the power band.

could adjustable cam gears have pulled the power into the lower part of the band ashton?

I am using a oem de crank that was micro polished and a stock pulley. Rev limit is 9k with 20v cams.

I doubt that, i have adjustable gears on it but set at 0,0, its not like n/a

Im going with a bit smaller turbine wheel turbo when i get back, it will bring power in about 1000 rpm earlier especially with the extensive headwork i have planned and still hold flat until 9600 or so.
