Thats shit that the DET is even thinner .. Yeh i wouldnt think a thinner gear would work in the thicker housing .. Just for extra bulletproofing really, and no one makes uprated oil pumps for SR's but i guess with a metal jacket pulley or the like would help alot .. Thats some sick revs bro i want mine to rev that high without fucking oil pump teeth lol
A thought tho .. What if .. Hypothetically i used a GTIR pump but used the VE/VET pressure release valve and spring.. Best of both world, more oil flow and higher pressure ?? Thoughts ?? Is this possible/realistic/practical ??

Im going to find out from reimax direct the width of the gear and i will let uz know the verdict

the clearance between the housing and the gear is important to how the pump works... so thinner gear in the wider housing will fail.

the housing design of the vvl pump also assists with its high volume output. unless youre doing serious road racing (go dry sump), a good ve pump will be sufficient for your use.

uprated gears would be cool, if they were made for the vvl housing though

Heard back from REIMAX .. They say it fits ALL SR20's, but its 10mm exact .. Makes no sense to me, they must not be counting VE's

A lot of these SR20 Performance shops only have knowledge of RWD SR20s. Most of them don't know the VE Exists lol

I'm in the market for a new pump. Just to confirm, will the vet pump fit the regular p11 ve? And is it considered superior to the new style sr16ve pumps? Looking for something that will be happy at 9k all day long.
