Kelford 184-b
Anyone using this cams? Are them an exact replica of the OEM N1?
I emailed to a japanese parts store and they told me that the OEM N1 are out of production. I think that's true because N1 cams are out of stock on the entire USA 3 months ago (maybe more).
So everything points to 184-b if someone want N1 cams.

Update: added 184-B and 2.5" exhaust

I believe they are exactly the same, but then why not go with 184-c if you're going to pay for Kelford cams?

I think you need to upgrade the springs if you use the 184-C....?

You shelling out $1,000+ for cams, what's another $135 for Supertech Springs

I was just stating that it's a little more then just putting some assembly lube on the cam and bolting them down. So $ is not what I'm getting at. It you have to take the head off is what I'm getting at. Which if you just want to install and go you would go for N1's.

You are right there, taking the head off is serious business.

This is why N1s were perfect. $450 all in all for great performance; a set of 184c will end up in almost $1,500 all things considered...

No N1s now, stay stock? Get some 20Vs if they are available still?

No need to take off the head to install valve springs and retainers.

The tedious part once the kelfords are in is measure up the clearances and will have to reshim the head.

No need to take the head off for cam/springs/retainer swap.

Edit: I type too slow

No absolute need ok, just pray one valve doesn't drop when doing it with an air compressor, rope, etc. It happens. and you will end up taking the head off anyway.

And also there is the shimming and degreeing thing, sooo you need cam gears too, add $150 more.

Accept it, it is not so plug and play as dropping N1 cams.

If you don't mind, of course, 184-C are so much worht it over stock cams, so do it.
