High compression and regular sr16 low lobes won't help your detonation issue on the low end, plus the weight of your car. Get a shorter gear box.

A pair of videos I took last week with new 3 inch exhaust

On Nov 20 my P11 enters surgery for these mods,

- Supertech valve springs and retainers
- N1 cams
- VE oil pump
- Oil squirters
- Lower piston dome to manage compression (1mm)

Car sounds nice, Nico. I like this list of mods that you have planned, especially the VE pump! Are you sure you want to lower the compression? Are you showing any signs of detonation right now? You are using 97 RON, correct? This should be equivalent to 92-93 AKI in North America. There are plenty of builds out there, using 16VE pistons with 91-93 AKI fuels.

Pretty sure, the car pings even when starting up the engine (warm). Maybe the octane is not actually 97 RON who knows, but I think a bit off the piston to get close to the N1s would make my life and tuning much easier

Oh yes jajaja
Great sound Nico, finally some nice exhaust.
B15NEOVVL, here in Chile is not just the octane, is the quality of the fuel. It really sucks, even i heard some mixed with water...that bad!!!

Greetings!

PD:Nico, Quedo increible con las levas!!!! Jajajja hay que juntarse para probar todos.

A lot of people here has similar setup tuned on that fuel no problem. I think its all in tune...

I would think that's more feasible in a non daily car, but here in Santiago temperature in summer reaches 43°C/110°F and lots of car jams, so such a high compression on street gas becomes a problem.

Right now, the car even detonates with a warm start up or low rpm load and that's with the distributor almost at its minimum position.

I agree tune play a major role but I don't think I can make things work on my build with just that (I've even tried other ECUs with less timing advance).
