Hey! I just posted my build with SR16 pistons and was wondering how did you get to control detonation. Thicker head gasket and ECU ?

Nicoxis, im using a stock DE gasket, with good fuel and a conservative ECU tune.

If you want to run this sort of CR you'll probably want cams with more overlap, i.e n1 cams or bigger.

If you want to use stock 20VE cams ,you'll need to lower the CR in my opinion.

I'm also using the stock OEM DE gasket. But I get detonation even when starting with a warm engine. I wonder if that can be overcomed with ECU tuning...

I'm using 97 RON gas.

with this dastek piggy back you were able to correct timing and fuel?

im running the 16ve ecu now and thinking its running lean

If you get a dastek then go for their new UniQ piggyback. It has much more features incl. The ability to switch between 4 maps.

my question was about the dastek piggyback and i know you personally dont recommend piggy backs from your experience

sir i thank you for your advice and all, they were very helpful since im dont tune my car, being sarcastic doesnt help us any at all
