High Comp 16VE Headswap Motor Dyno'd
So i've now moved away from my C3 cammed DE setup.

This is my latest motor, its basically a 16VE head swapped onto a DE block with 16VE pistons.

DE Block
DE Oil Pump
8cw Crank
16VE Pistons
16VE Head & IM
16VE Cams
16VE ECU +Dastek Piggyback
370cc Injectors
4-1 Header

189WHP
229 estimated flywheel HP
190ftlb estimated flywheel TQ (so around 155-160 WTQ)

Cam switch points are 4000rpm intake, 4500rpm exhaust

This dyno reads oddly, so im not sure how these would compare to dynojet numbers. I imagine WHP would read a little higher. I made 157whp on this dyno with my DE, which made 186whp on a dynojet with no changes.

Will get on the drag strip later this year, would like to see what it traps now.

Super nice VE setup. I was also loving the DE and where it was going before u switch to the VE head
maybe later you can upgrade to some N1's and better intake

Adjust cam gears to +2.5 on IN and -5 on EX and you will see a bump in power and TQ that if you have Regular SR16VE non N1 cams..

They are regular 16VE cams (non N1) so that's useful info there on the cam gear settings, thanks.

Tbh with this CR, rather than making more changes with these cams and further dyno time, I'm more inclined to hold out for Kelfords or maybe the JWT cams i've been hearing about.

I am happy for now, but i know how this normally goes... give me a few weeks and i'll be wanting more power again, and planning my next upgrades!

Those cams produce more torque than N1 with cam gear settings I am telling you also peak like 5whp less than N1 but 500+- RPM sooner than N1 But N1 hold power very good after peak!!

Get a VE pump on her before the head goes awry.

It will be fine with a DE oil pump.

Why will it be fine? The VE has a lot more oil pressure than a DE oil pump.
