Read post #49-page 3, and post #78-page 4. This swap has been done many times with no issues, no need to change pistons with stock 20ve cams. Now if you plan on running 16ve cams or n1's or anything bigger than stock it ain't happening!
If you do a de/ve I would throw in some SR16 pistons. Won't have the notch the skirt since the DE doesn't have the oil squirters. Plenty of piston-valve clearance. Can do N1 cams then tune, tune, tune. Don't limit yourself by leaving stock pistons in.
