Thread: sr20ve and aem series 2 ?

anybody with a ve running the aem series 2 ecu? will it work with the ve? thoughts, facts, opinions? thanks

I am running a series 1 on my ve-t and I know ashton was using a series 2 on his ve-t. honestly the aem does not care what motor you have in the car.

Im running a series 2 on my vet with 20v coils. It was quite the pain in the ass to get the car to start with this combination, base cal's that the series 2 comes with are not setup to run individual coils. I burned up 3 starters but we figured it out.

the base cals suck. I burnt up 1 starter and a battery trying to get my car to start after I put the 24-1 cas in.

Forget about calling Aem for help, all they will tell is that you have wrong box. You can't tell them anything that don't already know.

yeah, thats the hardest part of the aem is getting a good base cal to start with. Im using a series one and like cotrim i went through a starter and killed a battery originally trying to just get the thing to start and idle.

But really there is no need to have and aem ems for an all motor ve. Your better off just getting a realtime ecu. As for power wise you can make the same power on either and the realtime is less than half the cost.
