What about the MAF? Thats the DE maf correct? What about trying an N60. Look at the photo of the MAF compared with the intake piping, it looks kind of choked. Probably wouldn't be causing your problem but probably isn't helping. Do you know what the ECU is tuned for?

maf wont cause this issue, but i've seen boomsticks maf cause similar problems when it was dirty, thing is, when he did the pull one spark plug wire at a time trick there was no change.. the op of the thread has already stated when he pulls a couple of the spark plug wires (2 an 3?) there's no change, which means those cylinders are either not getting fuel or spark or insufficient of amounts of either.

you car Should still idle "ok" with the maf not plugged in, but will not rev above 3000 rpms.

its something with injectors if you pull the plug off the injector and it doesnt change anything obviously something isnt kosher.

leading this guy on a wild goose hunt when the probelm is pretty relevant

morgans is spot on. seems like an injector issue to me as well.

its just the process of elimination guys, i've seen this problem happen where it WASN'T the injector and was indeed a bad distributor cap.. ask vadim what kind of havoc a bad cap an cause.

but your probably right, but it doesn't hurt to check spark.

^ Listen to this guy, ive seen him pull more shit out of his ass in person on ve's and de's than anyone, hes always the first i call when something fucked up happens. Hes the man, and he knows him, so call him maybe

yep sounds like a subie obviously your running on less than 4 cylinders. Now what do you need to make them work? You need fuel and spark so if you are saying you are getting spark on those cylinders then something isnt correct with your fuel. Process of elimination would tell you to start first by taking the rail off and turning the key over to see if all four are spraying. report back after you do this. until you do this we wont be able to help that much more
