Cam selection/rocker ratio are of the largest advantages.

What if I told you there is a 315+ crank HP 2.0L VE around?

ITB, custom roller rocker setup, 15+mm lift cam.

Maybe Kelford will send me the latest graph/video.

At the end of the day power output= how much $ you want to spend.

86mm crank?

Playing devils advocate, pretty sure you dont need to go over bore, sleeves and stroker to make more than a stock k20........and still have oem reliability alot cheaper.

I know this is the VVL section, but I think it should be noted. SR20DETs can be had for under a thousand bucks. A K20 is gonna need some work to catch up to a 10 psi DET. How much are K20 swaps going for? Then mods on top of that? Yeah our drive trains are glass but there are options out there. A B15/P11 LSD trans can be had for a reasonable price if you seek them out. The non lsd transmissions are def cheap. I'm not sure if its possible but a non-lsd P11 with a phantom grip would make a cheap drive train upgrade. Lets be real a street b13 with like 600 hp is ridiculous. Anything at that power level with FWD is ridiculous.

I have a VE sitting waiting to be installed into a chassis. I'm not going for a K20 killer. I'm doing it for me to have something fun. Sure for the guys going out there competing you're going to want to make the most out of your VE. How many guys are into serious drag racing though? I'd say way more guys on here are just regular street drivers.

It's just a matter of perspective. The K20 is a newer design. Its technology is superior. Honestly to me that is ok. Look Honda has been big on making N/A innovations. Nissan has worked more with turbo motors. This can be seen with all the great turbo engines they have put out over the years. In the rest of the world Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, Mitsu are the heavy hitters out of Japan. How have they done it all those years? Turbo Gems.

There's no sense in getting mad at Nissan for not focusing on making high NA power.

I have beat stock K20s with my Cam'd DE, I'm just saying.

In the old 2.0 Civic Si's and the Acura RSX's were a bit closer but I still won by the 1/4 point. I think the RSX would pull atop 4th but that is some serious speed.
