Lightweight for my VE
So guys im installing a VE into my car and i bought some lightweight stuff:

XTD 11lb flywheel
Gspec Underdrive Crank Pulley
Gspec Oversize Water Pump Pulley

Would i gain something if I also get the PS lightweigh pulley and the Alternator pulley?

Youd be better off by doing other type of lightening on the VVL setup... No AC no PS and so on... the pullies will be long forgotten before the week is out...

a fidanza flywheel would have been better as well but the difference may be negligible

and as blo0d says, if you can afford to run without AC and PS

peace

The thing is that i dont want to lose the confort running without AC and PS is not what i want...

but using those 2 lightweight pulleys... would it worth it? i think is like more than 250 USD in just 2 little pulleys...

Rather spend you money on Fidanza over XTD and ditch crank pulley. Why getting lighter pulley if you can get lighter flywheel? I wont use light crank pulley on high revving VE...

I hope not to rev it over 8000 for some time, then i will put some nice berings to be able to rev higher with light crank pulley...

Ok, what is the point in the end then? You will safe same amount of weight but with more stress on bearings?

This have always being a issue, some people say the bearings will fail, some other that they rev it to the sky and nothing have happened for years. I hope to have this engine good for 3 years until i have to open it for refresh...

At this moment fot the porpuse of this engine i dont need to rev to high because im not going to install cams... not in the next 2 years... so a rev limiter set to 8000 will be the top.
