sr20ve or sr16ve which should I purchase?
this motor will be for the daily/road course/mountain run car.im going for 200hp with proper. mods.i will be running a 5spd and change to a 6spd later on.

the SR20VE will reach your power goal faster. N1 and a good Header and youll be closer to 200hp.

the sr20ve will be cheaper and make 200whp with bolts on and proper tuning.

SR16VE is a complete waste of time unless you are buying it for parts

20ve is way cheaper and will give you the ft lbs you need. just picked up a clean ass one from jdm orlando for 800

That would be a 1.827L motor.


I wish all the SR motors had come with 86mm bore.


I wish the SR18DE came 86mm bore with a 77mm stroke.


Then a 92mm bore with a 77mm stroke is a nice 2.05. That would make one hell of a high reving 2L. That engine would be reving to 10,000-11,000 RPMs no problem.

Whichever hair splitting way you wanna divide it is fine. Big bore over stroke all day is fun.

none of the above.


SR18DE has same rods and crank as a SR20DE. The bore is smaller.
