Thread: why now?

Okay I just got done rebuilding my car and it idling high at 2k rpm. Before it idle fine at 800rpm the only change made was 12:1 Cp piston, ACL race bearing, and a NEMU ECU. I was trying to look for the VE idle adjuster but can't find it. Can anyone tell me where it at. Thanks.

Do you have your JWT ECU still? Try putting it back (if you're still using the same injectors and MAF) and see if there is any change.

No I sold the jwt ECU. Okay I notice now when you cold start it be around 1300rpm then for a min it would jump up to 2000rpm and stay like that. Would a bad tps sensor cause this cause I unplug my tps and it would drop down to about 1000rpm then come back up at 2000rpm... Car seem to drive good around the block.

If that's the case maybe a bad coolant sensor, also check for vacuum leaks

Man that can be so too imma have to get that one temp. ground from a de at the junk qnd buy a OEM temp.

You need to adjust the idle in timing mode. Also check the tps and make sure its set between .45-.55 volts.

I tested my tps and it reads 5.7volts open or close....Idk what going on.... Ganna clean the IACV tomorrow.

that sounds like you had the wrong wires and were checking the 5 volt power.
