Thread: VVl timing check .pics inside

I been having trouble getting this car to run ..i did a vvl head swap on a det bottem end ..i cant get the vacuum past 10..and the car runs pig rich..i swapped mafs (z32) with a known good one ( mine) did many pressure tests on the piping and i found a couple leaks and fixed them..i even re-routed the vacuum lines to bypassed the turbo, boost controller and wastegate..the tps is set to .45 ..so here are some pics of the timing ..i just need someone else to verify the timing is correct.

keep on rotating the motor until the two dots(on the sprockets) and two yellow marks on the chain are lined up exactly when that happins number one cylender should be TDC

You are off on the crank pulley. The mark you need to be lined up on is the 2nd from the left, not the 3rd. Then reset the cam gears to the way they are. Hope this helps.

That's the motor setup I'm gonna run when all is said and done. 3 inch turbo back to just a muffler equals vvl popping loud as fack from behind lol

just go 3inch no muffler this setup should be very responsive
