Thread: 20v engine : better camshaft n1 or 20v?

I wouldn't have guessed

I really should have searched first. Was just hoping to get a name or brand

goal is to make the most hp,

20v motor
4-1 headers
3 inches ex pipe
8 lbs f. wheel
4.4 trany
rechip ecu no rev cut

want to know what cams to use b4
i dyno the car... n1 o 20v?

For max hp, N1. Even on a 20V motor.

Here is my experience and I have ran around with a 20V for 8 years now.


The N1 cams make more WHP up top.

The 20V cams make more WHP down low up to about 5500 RPMs after that its all N1s

If you are trying to go fast and make the most WHP with factory cams, N1s are the only way to go.

depends on the setup of the engine
the N1 cam has big over lap so its not really ideal for small to mid sized turbos
