Thread: where do you mount coil and ignitor? obd1 b13

just want some ideas on where you obd1 ve guys mount your coil and ignitor. i found an s13 assembly that looks promising but would like some other idea. pics would be sweet too.

I mount my coil on the end of the VVL solenoid.

Ditto^^ and ignitor on the edge of the head.

As above, my coil is mounted on the east most bolt on the end of the solenoid housing and the ignitor chip using the solenoid housing holes(the one with nuts) that bolt it into the head

I mounted my coil on the side of the solenoid housing I believe where there is normally a bracket or sheild that bolts onto the solenoids using the original coil bracket and then the ignitor on the left side lower mounting bolt of the solenoid housing and pointed it down and towards the filter by flipping it directly upside down.

you should look into keeping the original dizzy..

the install looks more legit


the wiring is super easy but getting the parts takes some time. i get all my tune up parts from gspec in 3 days
