b15 03 Spec V sr20ve swap ( input and advice needed)
hey whats up guys im new to this forum but not the other b15 and sentra sites some of you may remember me from myspecv.com from back in the day and if not nice to meet you new fam!!!

but lets get to business okay so for the 3rd time my qr25de motor has taken a S**t on me and ive decide to screw the 2.5 liter n get some old school power to it with a vvl
now i know its not a direct swap but i also know people have swapped the vvl in the b15 chassis, im curious in order to make this swap work , what would be needed if any from the b15 2.0 special edition ( mounts, harness, ecu, maf?) or would it have to all be custom?

then would a afc or safc 1 or 2 be needed for the vvl solenoid ?

please help want to get this swap started by end of may and be done beore aug lol got the money ready to buy everything so just looking for some guideace

* also in the SOUTH FLORIDA area and willing to buy some ones motor off the site if they have one as well as assistance when it comes to the swap*

I'd say you should start by getting the b15 2.0 special edition mounts, also would try to get the (b13 or b14) harness, ecu and maf to work in the B15, and for VVL activiation get a MSD Digital RPM Switch

I would think you would need everything just like any full motor swap (i.e. GA to SR, L to LS/T, VG to VQ, etc..). Let's not forget you have a 6 speed trans and you will have to decide what to do with that as well.

Also do you have emissions where you live? Any J spec motor on an OBD2 engine usually won't pass.

By the way what are you doing to go through engines this fast? I mean the QR is not the best engine on the planet, but to go through 2 in almost a decade. That's pretty bad.

As macakin said get the SR20 mounts for the B15 chassis. While your at it put poly mounts in it if you can get some. Making the B13 (OBDI) harness fit would be your best bet as it will allow you so many options for engine management.

Also look into the 6speed swap info and use your stock trans. Obviously you will use the stock mount but you will need a new bell housing and flywheel.

Do some research and get all of your parts lined up.

ok now will the mounts bolt right up to the chassis? and the se-r b13/14 for the ecu n harness? cause where i plan on getting it will come with one.

Te best way to do it is get the motor mount and bracket from a 2000-01 Sentra SE or a G20 and the P12 bell housing and the SR to six speed flywheel and clutch combo. for engine management I would say get a B13 harness and a Chipped ECU maybe a Nismotronic package and there you save on the cam activation device. And with that you keep your 6 speed, axles and mounts.
