engine dies when braking
the car's engine dies when braking. This happens mostly on downhill or when sudden stop.

things I've done so far.
Checked the lines from brake booster to throttle body and found no leaks.
cleaned the throttle body, IACV, and MAF sensor.

inputs would be very much appreciated.

car is a b14 w/ sr20ve and p11 hydraulic tranny.

I had this problem...B14 Swap on DE ECU. I don't know about your ECU, But my problem was a vacuum leak. I removed EGR system; it was an open vacuum line. check and bypass cap(autozone $1.50) every hose and pipe not being used.

sounds like a vacum issue. check all vaccum lines to make sure they are secure and not leaking.

stratton.
