valve shims
Ok, I searched on here but I can't seem to find it, or I don't understand. I took my ve head to get tapped so that I can put the head on a det block. My dumbass self was not thinking and had the cams out when I took them the head. So all my shims fell out, found 14 of the 16. What I need to know is what the tolerence between the lobe and shin shld be. That eat I can reshim the head, by the two shims that i need, and keep my project.rolling. Any help will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Use a feeler gauge between the low lobe and rocker pad. Just do one valve per cyl at a time...

isn't it two valves per cyl at a time?

Well however you want to look at it. I do either one intake per cylinder or one exhaust at a time. Just as long as your not doing two adjacent valves on the samecylinder..

.20 plus or minus .03 intake
.32 plus or minus .03 exhaust
