you are correct chris in that the n1 ecu has 8 injector drivers,
although if you are getting fuel cut at 8000rpm you probably have a 16ve ecu not a 20ve ecu.
you dont appear to have many options but to buy a n1 ecu or try and run it with a stand alone.
you cant wire all the injectors together as you will blow the drivers.
n1 ecu's can still be purchased brand new, contact greg at gspec.

i have 2 version one n1 cars and both have 8 injectors,
in fact , all n1's have 8 injectors, the only difference between version 1 & 2 was the different level of trim.

that would mean i would have to look for 4 other injectors , fuel rail and a n1 wiring harness ?

if you haven't got eight injectors, it isn't a genuine n1, despite that it has a n1 rocker cover.
the n1 comes with titanium retainers, different valve springs and different valves, wasted valve stems , sodium filled exhaust valves and factory head porting.
short of pulling it apart to check, it may not be a genuine n1.
has it got the genuine n1 manifold and 70mm throttle body?????

it does have titanium valve spring and a 70mm throttle body ... didnt wanna take out of intake manifold to check the ports on the head cause i didnt wanna mess up the gasket ... had miko look at when when i got it with one of his friends and they agreed that it was a n1 due to differences on different parts of the engine but to be honest with u i have no clue y the pervious owner did leave it with the 8 injectors

Looks like someone has plugged the extra holes.... The bungs look very factory (to blurry for me to tell if bungs or just holes). These n1 manifolds dont come with bungs when you purchase them new? If they do then it would explain alot.

I would expect a previous owner has become pissed off (like myself) with the xtra injectors or the n1 computer and flipped it off and tried to run it on a normal sr16ve ecu.

Although my first impression is someone has built an n1 engine from a sr16ve but someone with fast might be able to use that engine number.

Do what barry says.
