If you look at the b18 motors for example each one had a different factory rev limit, same with the b16's. While each one with a higher rev limit had higher compression, they also had a different intake manifold, cam, and exhaust manifold.

Like he said its not just the compression. Its more everything combined. I will say that compression does help in the higher rpm as was fact when we dynod my buddies built f20 high comp motor. 12.5:1 on a 2.0L, power just kept climbing till the rev limit. BC Stage 2 cams. He then went to a 2.1L 9:1 compression motor and you could feel the power fall flat well before the rev limit. More like 8k and there was no more usable power. While the torque increase was there from the extra displacement the 2.0L high comp made more peak power and had a much much better topend and broader powerband.

Depends on how good of a manifold. 10 - 25whp...

What is the best mix for a good IM?
Runner length?
Runner diameter?
With or with out velocity stacks?
Plenum size?
TB size?
I really want to use a large tb like 102mm is this a good option?
