Lol this trans was donated by sr20guy. Jason just wanted to see how bad he blew up 3rd in it lol.

I didn't think you could leave those 10mm's in. So the piece held down by the 12mm's that hold the input shaft would of been enough. Interesting. Oh well this thing is going to the scrap yard. Can't find any local shops with the balls to take on this task.

I really never tired taking those apart. I have an extra stack at home. I'll play around with it tonight. Post the shimming directions to see if i can figure it out

Honestly as bad as it seems, there isnt too much inside the gear box. I feel like the hardest is setting up the forks and crap

Easy for you to say, lol!

I think I am better off leaving it to an experienced person. I'll be bringing it to John in CT more than likely to let him do his thing!

Most places that call themselves transmission shops are no more then service centers. The trans in my B13 right now blew 5th called to see how much they would charge to put in the 5th gear pop out (didn't have the time) they said $1400. I started laughing my ass off. $1400 if I go get the parts and they take 2-3 hours labor. By my account it should be maybe $300.

What they were going to do is probably buy a refurb from somewhere and install it.

I told the guy on the phone, "Dude, I had a 91 300ZX auto trans blow up. I had it rebuilt that with an HKS upgrade and it only cost me $1500 in parts and labor (HKS MSRP is $1300 on the kit). This is not $1400!" He hung up on me

It looks intimidating but its not as bad as it looks. Just remember to put those little sleeve things back on when you put it back together.

Eh the fuck with it. I figure I will let this one be handled by an experienced guy. I know John has his experience with these things. If it was summer time I would give it a shot but I gotta keep my fingernails clean for school. Don't need to leave grease in a fresh wound from a patient out of surgery, lol.

As it currently sits. Header is smooshed.
