Just my luck!!
Wednesday night i was driving around in my 93 nx2000 when all of a sudden i heard a noise in the transmission and my revs went up. Took the car out of gear and went to go put it back into gear and nothing the car would just rev out. I was able to coast the car into a parking lot where i called for a flatbed. I put the car in gear with the engine off, took the ebrake off and the car would roll like it was in neutral no matter what gear it put it in. Got the car towed to my job that night, the next day i pulled the trans out to figure out what was going on. Well i guess this is the part where i'll let the pictures do the talking.
I did speak with SPEC over the phone on thursday after pulling the trans out. Unfortunately since the clutch was purchased last year in march, it is out of the warranty period. They are going to cut me a deal on the new clutch disc though, which isn't too bad for me. The flywheel and pressure plate look brand new, the whole setup had less than 2000 miles on it, and the first 1000 was break in. I personally think that this was from a manufacture defect, but like any company they are going to be the last to admit it.
Another thing, i was talking with my shop foreman at work and we came to the conclusion that i should replace the input shaft. Yes this does suck, but it is what it is.
