Most likely since it's a magnet. Also check the wiring for shorts.

Well had a little problem, i went to crack the jb wled and it cracked. However the sensor broke when i went to take it off and the magnet broke flush with the hole -_- luckily there were two copper pieces sticking out that held on tightly while i torched the jb weld. Was kinda scary but yeah im gonna get a new one tomorrow from the junk yard. I assume it can be from a g20 too and will work fine?

Yes, 94-96 P10 sensor is the same. I'm willing to bet the OBD2 1.6L B14 and Altimas are the same too.

If you're using the flywheel off a B14 DE or a 94-96 P10 then you should be fine. But if you're running one off an OBD1 car (B13's or 91-93.5 P10's) then that would explain why you're throwing a code. If that's the case, the only way to fix it is to install the OBD2 flywheel.

Its a b14 flywheel with the original sensor. Im gonna go pick one up tomorrow then from the yard. Idk how i should go about this since i didnt make the hole with thread to screw it on. How can i get it on and know it wont throw codes before i jb weld it? Im thinking just a skinny washer until it doesnt touch the flywheel

I drilled and tapped my tranny and it worked fine. You can buy a tap to match a drill bit at Sears or other hardware stores. When you pick up the sensor, bring the bolt with you as well. If you don't want to do that, maybe you can use silicone to hold it in place to test it out and once you know it's working you can JB weld it in place.

Good idea. Hey how many washers did you use? Cause if you look at b14 tranns they have a bit of thickness on the bellhousing edge. and the w11 that i have and b13's ect they are just flat

I think I used 2 small washer on the bolt side and used a rubber washer on sensor side.
