VE OBDII Passing Emissions
Hey people! I live in phoenix az
I have a OBDII car with a vvl. I have a b13 tranny so im getting a CEL from the crank positioning sensor, and the EGR sensor. I have to get tags here in april but i have no clue how im gonna pass. How can i pass the test? Any tricks or anyone out there know of someone that can pass it?
Thanks.

install a B14 tranny(or drill and tap your current one for the sensor), stuff a resistor in the EGR sensor plug, and make sure you have a tuned ecu like a Nistune and you should pass. I have a B13 tranny in my P10 and I drilled and tapped the casing for the crank angle sensor. I've had no issues. I'm running VE's in both my cars. I've passed twice in my B14 here in Cali and mine is tuned for power with bigger injectors. I will be smogging my P10 in the next 3 weeks.

I know this stuff was mentioned to you before in your swap thread.

I know like what to do with the drilling. I don't have any of the tools for this so ill probably have to pick it up. Wasn't sure if the resistors would work so ill have to give it a try. What about the water sensor or whatever else is left out after the ve swap?

just get a po box out of maricopa county and register that as your residential address with the mvd. then you wont have to deal with emissions.

thats the best 10 bucks a year youll ever spend.

water sensor? both of them should plug right up since you're supposed to use your USDM sensors.
Just get yourself a cheap tap and die set or you can probably just pick up a single drill bit and tap. Take the CPS sensor with you so you get the right size.

Well my water sensors plugged in except that spade one. But that actual plug worked fine. I didnt mean water sensor, theres like two more sensors hanging somewhere there near the fire wall... Along with the EGR
